Porcellio bolivari hail from Spain and are known for their large size and bright yellow coloration. P. bolivari are a striking isopod with bright yellow backs flanked by parallel bands of black - all skirted with bright white. These eye-catching critters are flat, wide, and covered in small bumps. They also have long noticeable antennae. Considered one of the "classic" Spanish giants these isopods, like other large Porcellios, are some of the most popular and sought after isopods in the pet trade. Porcellio bolivari grow to be surprisingly large for cleaners and thus make great additions to large terrariums housing large reptiles from tegus to pythons. Like most large isopods, bolivari are heavy protein eaters and typically require supplemental food when using as a cleaner crew.
