Porcellio scaber isopods, also known as Dalmatian isopods, are large white and black spotted isopods -hence the name. These are large active isopods that make a good pet species for kids/educators as adults are big enough to be easily handled.
These isopods, start out completely white or lightly dusted and gain their spots as they get older (much like Dalmatian puppies). They are medium paced growers that establish moderately in terrariums and flourish when housed in breeding bins.
